This community college serving Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties undertook a project to upgrade technology and expand their library and science facilities. The $19 million project involved building 90,000 square feet of new space and renovations to 140,000 square feet of the facility. The new facility is fully integrated for technology with student computer terminals throughout, including in stack areas for access to electronic indexing. Ceiling heights in the library vary to allow natural light deeper into its center, giving a more open feeling and a better sense of space.
