This
adaptive use of the 1916 Farmers Auto and Machinery Co. building
is located in Bay City's Midland Street Historic District. The building
was home to auto, clothing and furniture sales as well as a dance
hall and warehouse before Hereford & Hops bought it in 1998
for use as a restaurant and brewpub. Our conversion included the
complete rehabilitation of the structure and the addition of a stable
to house the Hereford & Hops Bay City Shires, a team of registered
Shire horses that appear at local events and give daily trolley
rides.
